Yesterday we got tested to the extreme at the Vaaldam with some very slow fishing. Geared in both our Legends Legacy Series & Papgooi of Niks merch, we were confident that we could fish well…
Unfortunately a lot of fish got lost in snags at Weltina, and although we secured some fish, the conditions were not in our favour.
Very little wind, extremely cold water & snags hampered us from landing those big ones that we know can be found at Weltina.
But is it really just about fishing? Having seen friends that I havent seen in more than 9 months, laughing and just enjoying a day out, away from exam papers that need to be marked, thats what actually made the day worthwhile.
A total of 8 fish landed but plenty lost. I walked in to free a fish from big treestumps in the water.
At least we didn’t leave empty handed. We’ll keep you guys posted on some more events that took place during the day.
