We’re visiting a small town between Dundee and New Castle, called Hattingspruit… The resort – Charl Mari offers great fishing AND great accommodation. All their units are self catering and fully equipped – with a pool, boats and more.
This venue is truly delivering some beautiful fish. This one was caught on Maximus Carp and Excalibur.

Shorty really slamming the carp on the Legends Legacy Series XCITERS. Bloekom for the win!! I think this is really something we need to stock up on 👊🏻 he has certainly had a ton of success on them.

On a very cold & windy day in the KZN province, near Dundee in a very quiet town called Hattingspruit, lies a beautiful self catering resort called Charl Mari.
Knowing these extremely difficult waters, I adviced Shorty to use a Bloekom Xciter… He was eXCITEd… Caught this beautiful Common carp in very difficult conditions.

After all the learning it was my time to shine. Chokka, Pink Prawns, Sardines. I think my baiting skills are a bit fishy 🤣 but we managed to land a couple and I’m happy!
